1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SnapSavor, including our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Moor Service ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Service, you agree to:
- Be bound by these Terms
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Accept our Privacy Policy
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use SnapSavor. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You meet the minimum age requirement
- You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
- You will provide accurate and complete registration information
- You will maintain the security of your account credentials
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A secure password
- Optional profile information
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
3.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through app settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription and Billing
4.1 Free and Paid Plans
SnapSavor offers both free and premium subscription plans:
- Free Plan: Limited features with usage restrictions
- Pro Plan: Enhanced features as described on the subscription page
- Family Plan: Shared access for up to 6 family members via Apple Family Sharing
4.2 Billing Periods
Paid subscriptions are available in the following billing periods:
- Monthly
- 6-month
- Yearly
Prices vary by region and currency. Binding prices are displayed in the app and the Apple App Store at the time of purchase. Prices shown on our website are indicative only and may not reflect the exact amount charged in your region or currency.
4.3 Payment Processing
All paid subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Apple's Terms and Conditions for in-app purchases
- Automatic recurring billing at the frequency selected
- Payment processing according to your App Store account settings
We do not receive or store your payment card details. All payment data is handled exclusively by Apple.
4.4 Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. Renewal, cancellation, and refunds are managed entirely by Apple through your App Store account settings. Please refer to Apple's subscription management page for details.
4.5 Price Changes
Subscription prices may change at any time, whether initiated by us or by Apple (e.g., due to tax or currency adjustments). Apple manages price change notifications and consent as required by their App Store policies.
5. License and Restrictions
5.1 Limited License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access and use the SnapSavor application on devices you own or control
- Access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
5.2 Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or distribute the Service to third parties
- Use the Service to develop competing products or services
6. User Content and Ownership
6.1 Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to content you submit to SnapSavor, including:
- Recipe photos you upload
- Links to external recipes
- PDF files and text you submit for recipe extraction
- Notes, modifications, and personal recipe data
- Collections and organizational structures
6.2 License to Your Content
By submitting content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Store, process, and display your content to provide the Service
- Transmit your content to third-party AI services (OpenAI and OpenRouter) for recipe extraction, translation, and nutritional estimation
- Create backups and technical copies necessary for Service operation
This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except for reasonable backup retention periods (up to 90 days). For details on what data is shared with AI providers, see our Privacy Policy.
6.3 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to submitted content
- Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- Your content does not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code
6.4 Prohibited Content
You may not submit content that is:
- Illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
- Infringing on intellectual property rights
- Containing personal information of others without consent
- Spam, advertising, or promotional material
- Pornographic, obscene, or offensive
6.5 Content Moderation and Reporting
SnapSavor includes a community where users can share recipes publicly. To maintain a safe and respectful environment:
- Reporting: You can report recipes or users that violate these Terms. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include content removal or account suspension
- Blocking: You can block other users to prevent them from interacting with you or appearing in your feed
- Moderation: We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict any shared content at our sole discretion, without prior notice
We encourage users to report any content that appears to violate these Terms or applicable laws.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Property
SnapSavor and all related trademarks, logos, service marks, and trade names are owned by Moor Service. The Service, including its:
- Software, algorithms, and user interface design
- Graphics, icons, and visual assets
- Documentation and website content
- Features and functionality
...are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback ("Feedback"), you grant us the unrestricted right to use, implement, and commercialize such Feedback without compensation or attribution.
8. Third-Party Services
8.1 AI Processing
SnapSavor uses third-party AI services to power its core features. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your recipe content (text, images, PDFs) is transmitted to AI providers (currently OpenAI and OpenRouter) for processing
- Only recipe content and your device language preferences are sent—no personal identifiers, IP addresses, or account information are transmitted to AI providers
- AI providers process this data under their own terms of service and privacy policies
- We may change AI providers or add additional providers to improve the Service

8.2 External Links and Content
The Service may process content from third-party websites (when you submit a URL for recipe extraction). We are not responsible for:
- The content, accuracy, or practices of external sites
- Any transactions between you and third-party services
- Damages arising from your use of external content
9. Disclaimers and Limitations
9.1 Service "As Is"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Guarantees of accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content
- Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
- Accuracy of AI-generated recipe extractions, translations, or nutritional estimates
9.2 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
- Nutritional information (calories, macronutrients, etc.) are rough estimates only and must not be relied upon for medical, dietary, or health-related decisions
- Allergen information may be incomplete or inaccurate—always verify ingredients from the original source if you have food allergies or intolerances
- Recipe translations may not perfectly capture the original meaning, especially for specialized culinary terminology
9.3 No Professional Advice
The Service does not provide professional advice (medical, dietary, legal, or financial). Any information provided is for general informational purposes only.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOOR SERVICE AND ITS OWNER, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Damages resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content
- Health consequences arising from reliance on nutritional estimates or recipe information
- Third-party content, services, or conduct
- Service interruptions, modifications, or termination
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR CHF 100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Moor Service from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
- Content you submit to the Service
12. Service Modifications and Availability
12.1 Changes to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or functionality
- Change AI providers used for recipe processing
- Change pricing or subscription plans (with advance notice via the App Store)
- Implement usage limits or restrictions
12.2 No Guaranteed Uptime
While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Technical difficulties
- Factors beyond our control (internet outages, third-party service failures, AI provider downtime)
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through app settings

13.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Extended periods of inactivity (after reasonable notice)
- Legal or regulatory requirements
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Service immediately ends
- We may delete your account and data (subject to backup retention of up to 90 days)
- Sections of these Terms that should survive (liability, indemnification, governing law, etc.) remain in effect
- No refunds will be provided for prepaid subscription periods
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the domicile of Moor Service in Switzerland.
14.3 Informal Resolution
Before filing any legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We commit to working in good faith to resolve issues within 30 days.
14.4 Consumer Protection
Nothing in these Terms shall limit any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your country of residence.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Moor Service regarding the Service.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
15.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, wars, government actions, third-party service outages, etc.).
16. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date
- Displaying an in-app notification for material changes
Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with modifications, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
17. Apple-Specific Terms
For users who access SnapSavor via Apple devices, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and Moor Service, not Apple Inc. ("Apple")
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app
- Apple is not responsible for any product liability claims related to the app
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of the app, including but not limited to intellectual property infringement claims
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them
- You must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service
- The app is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under these Terms
